Town hall, Feldkirch
The structure of the town hall dates from the late Middle Ages. After the city fire in 1697 it was renewed and changed several times in the 18th and 19th centuries. During a renovation between 1931 and 1937, the house with its mighty gable was combined with the neighboring building, a former medieval hospital. The facade paintings date from 1935.

The painting on the town hall takes some getting used to, but has a high recognition value. The painting shows important historical events of the city. The fountain is on the part that once housed the Jelig-Geist-Spital. This is now part of the town hall building.

Erected in 1493 as a multifunctional building. It serves as a grain and cloth hall, i.e. grain and fabrics are stored in it. After Feldkirch's biggest fire in 1697, the town hall was rebuilt, and the council chamber and council chamber were built. In the 1930s there was another conversion involving the adjacent Heiliggeistspital and painting of the facade. The frescoes commemorate important events in the history of the city.
