Der Aufstieg zum Pyramiden von Steyrling aus ist nicht schwierig. Mehr als die Hälfte der Strecke verläuft auf einer breiten Forststraße. Kurz vor dem Gipfel befindet sich eine kleine, mit einem Stahlseil gesicherte Felswand. Viele Wanderer, die das große Gipfelkreuz auf dem Pyramidenkogel sehen, glauben, sie stünden auf dem Gipfel der Kremsmauer, doch dieser liegt noch ein kurzes Stück jenseits eines scharfen Grats. Hier wirkt das Gipfelkreuz deutlich bescheidener.Die Gratwanderung ist nur für erfahrene Bergsteiger geeignet. Der Grat ist durchgehend schmal, stark ausgesetzt und ungeschützt T6! Gegen Ende verlor ich den Pfad und befand mich plötzlich in völliger Wildnis und sehr steilem Gelände. Bitte nehmen Sie diese Weg nicht. Die Karte zeigt diesen Abschnitt als Weglos an.
