Middelfart's Market Square is a central location in the city, serving as more than just a shopping center; it also serves as a meeting place and event venue.
The pedestrian zone, which runs parallel to the old harbor, is home to many specialty shops, arts and crafts stores, restaurants, and cafés. The city center is easy to explore on foot.
The Market Square is a venue for various events, especially during the Christmas season. Traditionally, Santa Claus arrives there with a fire engine to light the Christmas tree, marking the beginning of the Christmas season in Middelfart.

From May to September, Middelfart hosts a market day every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., where you can buy local products.
The area is characterized by a mix of historic and modern architecture. Nearby, for example, is the headquarters of the Middelfart Savings Bank, an architectural landmark.
The market square is located near the old harbor (Gl. Havn) and the Culture Island (KulturØen), which houses a library, a cinema, and a tourist information center, among other things.
