From the Stintfang, you have a magnificent view of the Landungsbrücken (landing bridges). Simply take the exit to the right of the S-Bahn station before the pedestrian bridge and climb the stairs.
This is also home to Hamburg's only vineyard. The wine, however, isn't for sale. The bottles are given to selected members of the public or donated to charity.

From the Stintfang you have a beautiful view over the port of Hamburg.
The Stintfang is part of the ramparts. The name derives from the fish "smelt", which used to be caught here in large quantities.

The "Viewpoint am Stintfang" photo spot is one of the most popular viewing platforms for photographing the Landungsbrücken. The clock tower, which shows the time and the water level, is one of the most common photo motifs in Hamburg. The vantage point is located directly at a youth hostel.
