De Averegten is a provincial green domain. It is a wooded area (100 ha) on the border of the Heist sub-municipalities of Hallaar and Itegem.
You can traverse the area from various car parks along the various hiking trails.
But the domain has a lot more to offer than just hiking trails. Children can let off steam in the imaginative playground, Hobbeldonk nature playground or the play woods.
In the tavern Het Boshuis you can now only go for takeaway snacks and takeaway hot drinks.
