The kilometer-long route offers impressive views of steep cliffs and the deep blue sea. However, the stones on the last section are partially unstable, so sturdy shoes and surefootedness are important.

In the summer months from June to the end of September, access by car is restricted. There was no parking space directly at the lighthouse and I had to park far away and walk the rest of the way or take the bus. I found this a bit inconvenient, but the path leads past beautiful beaches, which makes the additional walk more pleasant.

Once at the top, a fascinating view of the Far de Formentor, one of the 13 active lighthouses in Mallorca, opened up. I found a viewpoint that I reached by climbing a bit particularly impressive—through a natural opening in the rock you have a unique view of the lighthouse and the sunset. However, you should be careful as the stones are not very stable.

One small criticism is the number of tourists, especially at peak times. If you prefer a quieter time, you should perhaps set off early in the morning. Overall, the trip was worthwhile despite minor obstacles and showed me a different side of Mallorca.
