Es Baluard is the new museum of the city of Palma for modern and contemporary art. In the Catalan language, baluard means "bastion" and thus refers to the location and historical function of the building originally located there. In the name of Es Baluard, the significance of a bulwark of art resonates.

The Esbaluard is a new building that has been merged with old bulwark walls. Just the view from above in all directions justifies entry! The house itself: hmmm, partly unfavorably divided; the exhibitions we saw (April '21): rather mediocre.
