Santa Catalina is one of the most attractive neighborhoods in the city - with a village feel that combines old and modern features and lifestyles. Located near the sea and named after a former hospital dedicated to Saint Catalina of Alexandria (patron saint of traders and sailors), it once housed the homes of fishermen. Also ropemakers and millers lived in this area and the windmills from the 18th century are still in the area
