From the red wine trail you have a magnificent view of Dernau. Between Rech and Dernau part of the trail leads along a small path through pristine nature. Just beautiful !

With the RB 30 from Bonn main station or the RB 39 from Remagen to reach.
From here you can easily start in the red wine trail, I recommend the way in a southerly direction, so Mayschoss direction to Altenahr and from there directly along the Ahr back to Mayschoss, another small red wine drink and then by train from there back. But beware! Do not start the return trip too late, because otherwise there may be connection problems on the Rhine line. Find out when the Winzerfest in autumn is, because then there is also wine on the red wine trail.
