At the historic location, in the west wing of the old hunting lodge, is the headquarters of the castle stud today. Modern and historical stables enable performance-oriented horse breeding with award-winning successes and also offer space for numerous four-legged guests. A little further, adjacent to the castle park, is the riding hall, which is unique in its architectural style. Horses and riders can do their training in any weather on approx. 800 m² of sandy soil. Between the castle and the riding arena, the sand court invites you to go horse riding when the weather is nice.
The riding hall, which is parallel to the road, was built between 1932 and 1934. The base was made of granite porphyry from the Wermsdorf quarry. Today the hall is used by the Wermsdorf Riding and Driving Club and the castle stud farm. Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagdschloss_Wermsdorf
