The Strada degli Scarubbi is a driveway in the Pasubio massif, in the Vicenza Pre-Alps, built during the First World War. 10.5 kilometers long, it starts from Passo Xomo (1058 m) and arrives at the Porte del Pasubio (1928 m). Together with the Strada delle 52 Gallerie, it allows you to complete an evocative ring route.

The Strada degli Scarubbi was built by the Italian Army in the summer of 1915, during the First World War, to have access to the first line in the upper area of the Pasubio. Traveled by trucks, it was nevertheless exposed to the Austrian artillery of the nearby Monte Maio. Due to its northern exposure, it was not usable during the winter and for most of the spring: these factors made it necessary to build the Strada delle 52 Gallerie, much safer but not accessible to motorized vehicles.

After the Second World War, the Strada degli Scarubbi represented, along with that of the Heroes, the main access road to the first cars for hikers. Closed to motorized traffic since the 1980s shortly after Bocchetta Campiglia, it is now accessible only to the managers of the Achille Papa refuge.
