A weathered shell limestone rock, which leads south-east of the footpath down into the Gollachtal, is reminiscent of Saint Kunigunde. Legend has it that this is where, just before reaching the chapel, the saint knelt and propped herself up in prayer, resulting in the hand and knee imprints visible as hollows in the stone.

The Kunigundenstein is a striking rock formation on the Alter Berg above the Gollach valley near Burgerroth.
The stone is located southeast of the summit of the Old Mountain on the footpath, around 150 meters from the Kunigunden chapel and is above the path that leads down into the Gollach Valley.
According to an old legend, Kunigunde of Luxembourg is said to have prayed at this point and the indentations in the stone depicted hand, knee and footprints of the saints. However, the touch of the pilgrims over time may have led to the formation of today's shapes to have.
