The cross standing here on the edge of the forest just before Marienweiher was erected in 1937 by the Kemnather pilgrims' association. In 1956 it was renewed. This cross has no body, but shows only the five wounds of Jesus. Since the cross was probably damaged in 2007 during timber transport, a patron of the Kemnather pilgrimage has had a new oak cross made. It stands on a granite base and has a copper roof.
