Great highlight and after the renovation also with a safe ascent to Willhelmsblick. Be careful, there is a road at the end of the tunnel, which is particularly popular with motorcyclists on weekends.

The vantage point, located about 80 meters above the Bodetal, was created in 1861 as part of the road construction. Originally this rock was called "Krüger's Height".
Road builder Wilhelm had the idea of opening up this rock for hikers while the road was being built. He had a tunnel about 20 meters long through the rock massif to get to the ascent beyond the rock. From there he had a path with wooden steps built up to the vantage point above the Bode.
