An impressive church. The church interior has a total length of 82 meters. Just worth seeing. The parish church of the Assumption of Mary and St. John the Evangelist in Waldsassen, Bavaria, was built in its current form from 1685 to 1704 as an abbey church and belongs to the Waldsassen monastery.

The Waldsassen Abbey Basilica (1685-1704) is one of the most magnificent baroque buildings in southern Germany. Under the master builder Georg Dientzenhofer, Bohemian, Italian and southern German influences come together here. Famous artists such as Karl Stilp or Johann Baptist Carlone contributed to the design. They created a special harmony. The church includes Germany's largest church and monastery crypt and an impressive organ system with 103 registers.
The church is equipped with 10 full body relics of early Christian martyrs from the catacombs of Rome, clothed in precious frames, the "holy bodies".
After an interior renovation in 2016, the church shines again in its original color concept from the time it was built.
