In December 2007, the Christkindl Trail was created in Boží Dar as a complement to the Christkindl Post Office. It is intended to not only introduce young hikers to the biblical story at a total of 13 uniformly designed stations in small wooden houses and with numerous carved figures along the way, but also simply provide fun with many other ghost sculptures and cartoon characters.

The Christkindl Trail starts at the tourist information center in the city center, where children can buy a "pass" and plan the itinerary, and then off you go. The children can choose between two routes.
The small route serves the smallest visitors, it is 5.6 km long.
The large route is 12.9 km long and is intended for older children and adults.
The Christkindlweg has 13 stations, these are recognizable by small houses in a uniform style. In each house waiting for the children an interesting task and they are greeted by the Christ Child, his friends and assistants from the Christkindlwelt. Along the way you will meet a dragon, Aquarius, the mole, mushrooms, devils, see a nativity scene and other wooden fairy tale characters.
In the Christkindlpas the solution of the tasks is entered at the individual stations. Finally, the children go back to the tourist information office and receive small presents from the Christkindl.
At most stations, the children can expect amusements such as a carousel, swings and more. The path should be fun and the children should rest briefly from hiking.

A special kind of adventure trail was created in Bozi Dar. Everything revolves around the dear Christ Child and his many helpers.
The tour includes a section of the Christkindlweg and can be extended to around 13 km. It can be explored in spring, summer, autumn and winter (also with cross-country skiers) and each time the heath and moor landscapes have a new appeal.
There is always something to discover on the tour, especially for children. In each refuge there is something to read about the Christ Child and a short quiz. If you are traveling with children, you should definitely go to the tourist information (at the market) and get a Christkind ID card for a small fee (around €1.20 per child) before you start in order to enter the answers. At the end you hand in your ID card and receive a small gift in return (e.g. a handicraft newspaper and a stamp).
The tour is well signposted and there is seating in every refuge. At the end of the day there are plenty of good restaurants that invite you to linger.
What is important: in winter, cross-country skiers and walkers share this route, mutual consideration is required.
The tour is suitable for prams as well as joggers.
