I visited Gleno lake a few years ago and I have to say that the trip was worth all its time!
In addition to the beautiful natural setting, the history that the Gleno dam contains (a human failure) must be passed on to future generations so that it never happens again.

Very interesting route. (Starting from Pianezza) It's not too demanding although the first part is uphill and takes your breath away for a moment, the second half is almost entirely flat with very suggestive panoramic views. It can be traveled without problems accompanied by children and dogs. The whole course, being very beaten especially on weekends, is kept very well. Once you arrive at the ruins of the dam there is a little bar provided and by the very courteous owner. In the clearing around the lake it is not uncommon to see tents camped especially during the summer.
