        Rifugio Maison Vieille is perhaps the most original and rustic hut on the TMB. Sleeping and sanitary facilities can be confidently described as simple, but the food is excellent, the hut crew stunningly accommodating and the atmosphere warm. Not to mention the location and ambience, at least when you have seen the dawn on the Mont-Blanc east flank, you know ... maisonvieille.com
