The beautiful portico of the Cardo Maximus extends over 800 meters. It is located in the ancient city of Jerash, Jordan, between the oval forum and the north gate. 500 pillars of this main street have been preserved to this day. They form an impressive colonnaded street. The visitor walks through time on old cobblestones. The past comes alive between meter-high pillars.
Especially beautiful in the evening sun.
