When climbing over Kölfels (over 1,000 meters in elevation), you should start early or choose a cloudy day. The sun warms the slope in the morning, and the climb is steep and steady. Sturdy shoes, surefootedness, and a good level of fitness are required. The gap leading into the Fundustal valley requires a bit of climbing.

The Hintere Fundusalm is idyllically situated at an altitude of 1,964 meters at the foot of the Fundusfeiler mountain. Typical Tyrolean and Ötztal dishes are served. Ten overnight beds are available.

Greetings and a warm welcome to the Hintere Fundus-Alm alpine farm at 1,964 m at the foot of the Fundusfeiler. After a hike or mountain bike tour, our wonderful alpine terrace, surrounded by fragrant, flowering alpine meadows and with a fantastic panoramic view, is the right place to breathe in fresh alpine air, recharge your batteries and unwind from everyday stress - simply let your mind wander.
We spoil you with traditional Tyrolean home cooking and delicacies. From various dumplings to homemade sausage and hearty snacks, we finish with delicious apple strudel. Everything is homemade here, most of our products come from our own farm and from farmers in the region.

Accessibility & opening times:

We are easily accessible on foot or by mountain bike from the valley town of Umhausen (approx. 8 km).
Hut taxi from June to September from Umhausen to the Hintere Fundusalm! If you want to take it easy, you can also breathe in the mountain air on the Fundusalm. Simply book the hut taxi with Taxi Scharfetter, contact us at +43 5255 5858!
Our alpine season lasts from mid-June to September.
After a refreshing drink or a snack with our alpine products, you can continue your hike and bike tour - or just take a walk to the picturesque Fundussee, 350 m away. High above the "Ötzi Village" Umhausen, unlimited hiking fun, alpine peace, idyll and tradition await you at the Hintere Fundusalm.
