From the top you have a very nice view of Melle. When the weather is good, you can see the power plant in Ibbenbüren from the Ottoshöhe or see Osnabrück as far as the Piesberg.

The Ottoshöhe with the observation tower is located in the Meller Mountains in the Eickener Egge area. The shortest route to Ottoshöhe begins at the hiking car park on the "Auf den Vieren" road. From here you have the first beautiful view of Melle. With good visibility you can see the Teutoburg Forest. The way to Ottoshöhe leads over a well-developed forest path with steep gradients. From the observation tower you have a wonderful 360 degree view over the Wiehen Mountains to the Teutoburg Forest. Also in the field of vision is the Diedrichsburg tower and the Friedenshöhe tower. These two towers, together with the tower on the Ottoshöhe, are part of the signposted 3-Türme Weg.
