Vorderer Langbathsee (1.1 km long, 400 m wide, approx. 36 m deep) nature reserve at the foot of the Höllengebirge mountains, crystal-clear water with drinking water quality; free natural bathing beaches, the state of Upper Austria has bought the 4000 m² property on the Vorderen Langbathsee and is making it available to the population as a free public sunbathing area with access to the lake (the Langbathseestüberl restaurant is on the right).

Excellent mountain scenery and circular hiking trails, former hunting lodge of Emperor Franz Josef, mountain bike trail, also ideal for jogging (there are 8 km of running trails around both lakes). Average sea temperature 22° - 25° C.
Dogs are not allowed in the bathing areas, walking around the lakes with four-legged friends is permitted (with a leash or a muzzle).
