Kang Mu Xiang is an innovative sculptor from Taiwan. The material he used for this work of art comes from the famous Taipei 101 skyscraper in Taiwan, the artist's homeland. It is steel cables that move the elevators and must be replaced every few years. In his work he integrates Far Eastern philosophy, such as rebirth and the cycle of life. He has breathed new life into the purely functional wire ropes. With the embryo shape, he also pays tribute to life.

Half of Diepholz turned up at St. Nicolai Church for the ceremonial unveiling of the sculpture "Infinite Wisdom" by Taiwanese artist Kang Muxiang: The artist, representatives of the Agenda 21 Citizens' Foundation and "Art in the City", sponsors and donors who had made it possible for the sculpture, made from the steel cables of the high-speed elevators of the Taipei 101 skyscraper, to now find its home in Diepholz.
