The Royal Palms Beach, or White Point, is just across from the White Point Nature Perserve and offers a different kind of LA beach experience. Rather than miles and miles of flat yellow sand, this small rocky beach is the tidepooler's dream. There are some of the most diverse tide pools in Southern California here, but please remember to be respectful of the animals that live in them as you explore. The general area is a great spot for fishing, surfing, and scuba diving. It is not the best swimming spot, however, due to the rocky shore.
