One of the best-preserved castles in South Tyrol rises at the entrance to the Matscher valley near Schluderns and is called Churburg. The castle was first mentioned under the name "Curberch" in 1259 in a document of the Prince Bishop of Chur, Heinrich von Montfort, who also had it built around 1250.

I can only recommend the tour of the Churburg.
The armory is the largest in the world that can be visited.
A real experience for children too.

Very interesting German-language tour of the castle, also for children. The castle can only be visited with a guided tour. A walk around the castle is always possible.
The current "rulers" were also in the castle - the flag is hoisted.
