From the bird watching hut you can observe the birds on and around the Snepkens pond undisturbed and unseen. In the winter months you have a chance of spotting groups of smaller songbirds such as crossbills and siskins. Birds of prey such as the buzzard and the hawk can also be present.
Towards the end of winter the first songbirds such as chiffchaffs are expected. On the water you can look for different types of ducks, the ducklings and the eared grebe. At the beginning of spring there is always a huge crowd of birds. The small songbirds such as bluethroat, reed bunting, blackcap and possibly tree pipit have recently arrived and are singing at the top of their lungs
