From the rustic canal bridge, you can enjoy magnificent views of Lake Lanz. Unfortunately, it is already showing its age and is scheduled to be replaced by a new bridge soon. A replacement road bridge is planned for 2022, with a reopening to traffic in 2024. However, unlike the bridge near Buchhorst, the bridge near Basedow will not be rebuilt in the same location. To keep traffic flowing to the campsite and restaurant, the replacement bridge will be planned approximately 15 meters south of the existing route. This will allow the existing bridge to continue to be used for the duration of the construction.
