Mont Pelat is a limestone summit located at 3,051 meters above sea level which dominates the massif of the same name. From there, there is an incredible view of the Écrins and Cerces massifs, and of Lake Allos below.

Great (but tiring!) day hike from the Parking at Col de la Colette. Not to difficult...just long and with 1000 meters ascent and descent divided in 2 parts of 300hm and then another 700hm. The 360 views on top are breathtaking and worth it all!

Mont Pelat is a mountain in the northeast of Provence. It is located in the Mercantour National Park and is home to Lake Allos. For many mountaineers it is one of the most attractive mountains to climb in the area.
