The driveway to Col Cayol from Barcelonette is very varied. In the lower part you drive through a beautiful gorge along a stream. The slopes are very pleasant. After the entrance the actual ascent to the Col starts, partly through forest. Impressive waterfalls along the way make this varied. Shortly after the Col, there is another wonderful view to the south.
