The Thomas Müntzer settlement consists of several abandoned houses that used to belong to the Oertelsbruch. The whole settlement has a very morbid character, but the former beauty is still clearly visible in some of the houses. There are large buildings with impressive architecture that are unfortunately completely dilapidated.
The settlement is isolated in the forest, some houses border meadows. Nature has already reclaimed some of the settlement, thick tree trunks grow on the entrance doors, moss and plants overgrow the walls. The buildings have been empty for decades, the last residents left the houses in the mid-90s. Many houses have completely collapsed or have holes in the ground. Nothing is inhabitable here anymore, the decay is far advanced.
Unfortunately, vandals, thieves and graffiti artists have also attacked the empty rooms and have accelerated the decay.
