Steinhaus is located in the north of the Königsforstes, near Bensberg. GPS N50.955246 E7.182990
Steinhaus is mentioned as a loan from Count zu Bensberg in 1403. In 1413 it became the property of the Sankt Severin Abbey in Cologne. In 1740 Steinhaus is sold to the Augustinian order. In 1815 Steinhas became the property of the Prussian Forest Administration. For about 200 years the building was used as an official residence for the district forester. As part of the Regionale 2010, Steinhaus was expanded into an information portal.

Steinhaus Portal
Steinhaus is located on the northeastern edge of the Königsforst forest near Bergisch Gladbach-Moitzfeld, not far from the center of Bensberg. The old forester's house, surrounded largely by grassland, can be reached by public transport, stopping at the "Technologie-Park Bergisch Gladbach" stop. From there, the path leads through the Technology Park parking lots and over a small bridge that crosses the A4 motorway to the Steinhaus Portal.
