The Trappist Abbey of Clairefontaine-Cordemois is located very close to Bouillon, but isolated in the heart of a magnificent natural landscape. The sisters of the abbey (Cistercian) welcome you in an isolated house with park and garden for a quiet retreat or a moment of rejuvenation.

It is an abbey of Cistercian nuns whose founding act dates back to 1845 in La Cour Pétral. Part of the house is arranged to receive people looking for peace and quiet.

Contrary to what is insinuated above, the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Clairefontaine is not a Trappist abbey. It is an abbey of Cistercian nuns. Trappists are a branch of the Cistercian order, but not all Cistercians are Trappists.
