            The Evangelical Laurentius Church stands on historic ground in the area of the former royal palace of Treebur. The architecture of the 10th and 11th centuries is still preserved in its foundations. The Ottonian-Salian basilica consisted of a vestibule, west hall and three-aisled nave and transept. From the medieval basilica there is a votive stone of the Roman-Celtic goddess Virodactis (AD 50) on the corner of the west facade of the building and a pillar capital on the north-west corner quad receive. A triptych by the artist Manfred Stumpf was installed in the porch in 2001. Here the martyrdom of St. Laurentius, the namesake of the church. St. Laurentius died in Rome on August 10, 258 AD. There will be a celebration in Trebur Kerb on or on the Sunday after August 10th.
