Along the picturesque avenue leading to Hex Castle, four teardrop-shaped tree tents hang high among the tall trees, artistic sleeping accommodations designed by Dré Wapenaar. These temporary sculptures balance between architecture and sculpture, inviting guests to spend the night or simply take shelter under the trees. A unique experience in the heart of the Haspengouw landscape, where nature and creativity converge!

In the landscape, along the lane to Hex castle, you will find four tree tents where you can spend the night. The teardrop-shaped sculptures hang from tree trunks and provide an alternative accommodation to spend a night in Haspengouw. The work of Dré Wapenaar (NL) is always on the border between architecture and sculpture, between staying and meeting. His sculptures are mainly tent constructions that are placed temporarily. They invite you to stay in them or take shelter under them. The social interaction surrounding the work is of great importance to the artist.

At Dré Wapenaar's tree tents in the Tranendreef you will also find Field Furniture “Pure Nature” by Ardie Van Bommel (NL), a seating, washing, toilet and barbecue unit based on the paloxes or fruit boxes that you so often in the Haspengouw landscape.
