A place where history communicates with nature. Eppinghovener Mühle, which has not served its purpose for a long time, is privately owned. Work and offices are housed here.
Only the Erft does not belong to anyone and has flowed through the area for ages and delighted hikers with its beauty.

The Eppinghoven Monastery is a former Cistercian abbey and a former canonical monastery, which is located south of Neuss-Holzheim directly on the Erft. The monastery was founded as the Mariensaal Monastery together with the Saarn Monastery around 1214, initially in Karlesforst (Kaarst), in the same year incorporated into the Cistercian order and subordinated to the authority of the Abbot of Kamp.
