The rose garden in the city garden was laid out in 1908 according to plans by the Neuss horticultural director Frank Kellermann. The Heinzelmännchenbrunnen was a special eye-catcher back then, but it no longer exists today. After the destruction of the Second World War, it was forgotten. In the 1990s, the rose garden was reconstructed based on a historical model on the initiative of the Neusser Verkehrsverein and with the help of numerous donations from the population.
The Klassiknacht, a free open-air concert by the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss, which takes place here at the end of June attracts many people from Neuss as well as foreign visitors. ... "
