Incredible!! Great and worthy of sinew. Since everything is very big, you should plan a lot of time, wear comfortable shoes and use the chairs around to pause.
The residence: many very splendid rooms (gold, stucco, mirrors), in Antiquarium scenes from "3 Musketeers" were shot.
The treasury: crowns, jewels, religious exhibits of incredible craftsmanship.
The Hoftheater: Baroque is not. The vestibule is covered with a glass dome under which it has a fascinating acoustics.

The residence in the center of Munich was the Munich City Palace and the residence of the Bavarian dukes, electors and kings and thus for centuries a political and cultural center of the country. The sprawling palace is the largest inner city palace in Germany and today one of the most important art museums in Europe
The building complex comprises ten courtyards and is divided into the three main complexes Königsbau (towards Max-Joseph-Platz), Maximilianische Residenz (also Alte Residenz, façade to Residenzstraße and much of the inner tracts) and Festsaalbau (towards the Hofgarten). The Allerheiligen-Hofkirche and the Residenztheater are also part of the residence. From the outbuildings, there is still the construction of the Riding School Marstalls.
The residence museum consists of 130 showrooms. Stylistically, the residence, which has grown over the centuries, is a mixture of Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo and Classicism. In front of the entrance to the imperial court and the passage to the Brunnenhof stand two large bronze lions for the four cardinal virtues, wisdom, strength, justice and temperance, which a worthy ruler should bring with them. Each lion holds a shield on which the respective virtue is depicted symbolically and ends at the lower tip in each case in a small lion's head. (Touching the muzzle of these little lion heads should bring good luck.)
The place of the residence was already alive thousands of years ago. Only in 2014, archaeologists found an almost intact, Late Bronze Age tomb directly below the pharmacy courtyard of the residence.
