At this point, the Anna River is dammed to form the Schwanenteich. Originally it was the mill pond of the cutting mill, which burned down in the 1940s. After the lake had increasingly silted up over the years due to washed-up sediments, it was gradually renatured from 2011. Today you can stroll along a beautiful walk along the lake.

Once a chic promenade with boats and restaurants, the "Swan Pond" now leads a very miserable existence and has not been attractive to swans for a long time. My dad told me about a plan to channel the mine waste water from the Rüdersdorf limestone quarry to the Straussee, which would also benefit the Herrensee and the Anna, but we'll see.
