The well-developed hiking trail takes you up hill and dale to the Peter-Wiechenthaler-Hütte. Just a few more meters and well-deserved refreshment awaits. Turn around again and enjoy the panorama, but it's definitely worth it!

CAREFUL: Dangerous paths! Missing warning signs! Do not underestimate this hiking route. The images do not display the dangerous parts midway through up in the mountain! Narrow paths directly next to steep cliffsides. Later on, the "Fuchssteig" at the end of this trail leading to "Einsiedelei" has claimed lifes in the past.

This trail and the images are misleading for amateur hikers. The paths up on the mountain are very dangerous and should not be underestimated. The section of the trail up on the mountain descends steeply right next to a narrow strip. In some places, the path can only be accessed via ladders in the rock.

CAUTION: The descent from the Steinalm to the Einsiedelei leads to the Fuchssteig, which is life-threatening for inexperienced hikers. Fatal accidents have occurred here over the years. The signage for the trail options is inadequate, and the danger is inadequately indicated.

Very nice forest path, mainly root paths ... beautiful views of the mountains opposite, e.g. Großvenediger
