Highest elevation in the Steinernes Meer. From the Schönfeldspitze there is an excellent view of the Watzmann and Königssee on one side and down to the valley of Saalfelden and the mountains beyond on the other. The ascent is not for the faint of heart and requires a head for heights.

Contrary to some descriptions (which can be found on the Internet), the tour should not be underestimated.
Difficulty level 1 often has to be climbed. Absolute freedom from vertigo and sure-footedness must be guaranteed. Not for the faint hearted!!! But the climb is worth it!!!
