The medieval bridge of Pontevea is an interprovincial bridge that for hundreds of years has been the only access road to Compostela from the Val do Vea lands. Its architectural characteristics reveal a Romanesque-ogival construction, with six masonry arches, three semicircular and another three slightly pointed, supported by five large pillars, with triangular cutwaters upstream and trapezoidal downstream.
