The Heimatverein Ströhe / Spreddig e.V. was founded on May 3, 1991. At the suggestion of the then councilor Hans-Georg Taube, 29 other citizens met and held the founding meeting in Heimathaus Ströhe. The home association now has around 240 members. Its tasks include looking after the homeland and researching its history through historical local studies with special consideration of the Low German language in music and literature. The Heimatverein also serves the preservation of monuments and the preservation of historical buildings and equipment that were collected on the grounds of the museum complex and in the museum of the Heimathaus. heimatverein-stroehe-spreddig.de
