On an old Köhlerplatz just a stone's throw from the Alteburgturm you can set up your night camp between spruce and beech. The trekking site is located on the Soonwaldsteig in the middle of the magnificent Soonwald. There is even a fire pit for a cozy campfire in the evening.

For the night you pay 10 euros per tent, there is space for five tents. If you want the space all to yourself, the night costs 65 euros. But after a night you have to move on. You can make a booking online here: web4.deskline.net/nahelandcamping/de/accommodation/list

The trekking site is open from April 1st to October 31st. You bring your own drinking water and toilet paper for the composting toilet. It goes without saying that you take all your garbage out of the forest yourself;)

On our tour, we stayed overnight with three friends at Trekking Camp Alteburg – superbly maintained, beautifully landscaped, and wonderfully quiet. The perfect spot to put your feet up after a long hike and enjoy the starry sky.
