The Westfalenpark Dortmund was opened for the first of the three German garden expos (1959, 1969, 1991). On the site of the old Kaiser-Wilhelm-Hain, the Buschmühlenpark, a landfill site, and a small garden, a park was built, the center of which is the highest German building of its time, the Florianturm TV tower, at 220 meters.
