The Eibsee is a crystal-clear natural wonder right at the foot of the Zugspitze.

Located 13 km southwest of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, right at the foot of the Zugspitze, lies one of the most beautiful lakes in the Bavarian Alps - the Eibsee. Created by a landslide more than 3,000 years ago, the mountain lake, which belongs to Grainau, offers a variety of sporting activities and excursion options.

In addition to various hiking trails, the mountain lake invites you to swim in the summer. Active sports enthusiasts can rent pedal boats, rowing boats and stand-up paddleboards at the Eibsee Hotel and explore the lake on their own. If you prefer something a little quieter, take a round trip on the electric boat - always with the Wetterstein Mountains and Zugspitze in view.

In winter, the Eibsee is nestled in a picturesque winter landscape that invites you to explore and linger.
