A rustic Alpine Club hut in the middle of a scree field in front of the Zugspitze. Here you have a beautiful view of the green Reintal, but also of the rocky peaks of the surrounding mountains. Kindly, you can also fill up your water supplies here. 😊
If you want to take a longer break here, you can eat in the small restaurant or stay overnight in the hut. A small break, whether short or long, should be planned in any case. 😉

Generally accessible, serviced hut (category I) of the Munich section, built in 1855, expanded in 1873.
The Knorrhütte is located on the threshold of the Zugspitzplatt southwest below the Brunntalkopf. It is the closest refuge to the Zugspitze on Bavarian soil.
The Knorrhütte below the Zugspitzplatt is an ideal base for the Zugspitze ascent: be it from the Reintal or from Ehrwald via the Gatterl.
