In the morning but also in the early evening you are "down" really alone. It is worth the effort to pack camera and tripod in the backpack. There are really great impressions capture that even without "aftercare" are very meaningful. There is nothing to add to the topic "morass". I no longer judge whether muddy or not but only how deep you sink. Nevertheless highly recommended.
