It's exciting how and where you can find evidence of the remains of times long past. In the Middle Ages, Elmdorf Castle stood on this hill. It was probably built as a moth facility in the 9th century. This is a special construction made of wood on a specially designed hill. A few information boards explain the history of the castle to you at this location.

Excavations confirmed the existence of the complex - information boards: Three mountains used to be the Dreibergen castle hill. "Three mountains" stand out in the town of the same name on the northern shore of the sea. Many people have certainly puzzled over the hills. They are - as excavations by archaeologist Dr. Dieter Zoller prove - more than just simple elevations. In the middle of the twelfth century, a castle complex belonging to the Counts of Elmendorf stood here. Information boards present the history.
