Spectacularly high above the treetops of mighty old giant trees on the Baumwipfelweg. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the show gardens, the Danube floodplains and the city as far as Tullnerfeld. On sunny clear days you can even see the Ötscher. 201 steps lead up high above the treetops, if necessary a lift transports to the uppermost platform - accessibility is a top priority all over the area.
Even the construction of the Baumwipfelweg itself is architecturally and artistically a special feature. Designed by the Lower Austrian architect DI Ernst Maurer, the 30-meter-high path consists of a multi-level observation tower, stairwells and platforms. The railing of the path consists of glass panels artistically designed by the renowned Lower Austrian woodcut sculptor Prof. Erich Steininger.
Opening hours: from early April to mid-October, daily from 9am to 6pm
Admission (for the entire garden): adults 12,50 €, reduced 10,50 €, children (6 to 18 years) 6,50 €
