Even if the document from 958, in which the brothers Walfrid and Humfrid bequeathed their chapel in Hohkeppel with some properties in the area to the Severinsstift in Cologne, is a new writing from the 12th century, archaeological investigations in the church and the surrounding area indicate Time before the 12th century and make Hohkeppel one of the oldest settlements in today's Lindlar community. Of the medieval church from the 12th century, only the west tower remained in 1835, while the classicistic nave was rebuilt on the old foundations. Only one church bells over 500 years old and two over 300 years old church bells are still preserved.

A super beautiful half-timbered idyll in the Bergisch region and another great resting place opposite the "White Horse". In the hiking car park behind it there is even a portable toilet for the weary hiker. I think that's great. But please leave a donation for the entertainment.
